His Story

STÉPHANE HOUDET
THE STORY OF A REBIRTH

From veterinarian doctor to Paralympic champion: an extraordinary destiny.

01.RESILIENCE AT THE SERVICE OF PERFORMANCE

In Stéphane Houdet's eyes, his amputation is truly a symbol of liberation. A contradiction? Yet, it was by making this decision that he reconnected with his first love: tennis. And it was a resounding success! In 2005, he started wheelchair tennis, and in 2008 he participated in his first Paralympic Games in Beijing. He turned professional shortly after and became world number 1 in June 2012.

02.A COMMITTED MAN

For Stéphane Houdet, disability should be seen through the lens of adaptation. An optimistic and inclusive vision, driven by his strongest conviction: accessibility, in its broadest sense, can radically change society's perception of difference.

03.A SPEAKER

Given his journey, both professional and personal, Stéphane Houdet regularly takes the microphone to share his unique perspective during conferences and corporate seminars.
